Shanghai

"Shanghai" is a metaphor describing the state of modern Moscow as a megapolis.
The place is a new model of the vernacular architecture, located not far from the tourist center of Moscow. It is an enclave, consists of the garage boxes, which were manually reconstructed for different purposes.
The place has an autonomic electricity, water, heating, shops and cafes, dormitories for illegal immigrants, there are its own criminals, authorities and prostitutes.
Most of garages are rebuilt for the living places and various workshops.
"Shanghai" gives the opportunity to escape the chaos and multi-structured life in the big city, or to hide something.
On the other hand, this place symbolizes this chaos with its winding streets, tangles of wires hanging over the crazy-looking buildings.
